MERCURY began its extended dream-like transit through the highly perceptive, psychic sign of Pisces on Friday, February 6th, at 5:48 PM EST ... while Mercury is in Pisces, the thinking and communicating will be greatly influenced by and through our emotions as Pisces is a water sign, so the mind and tongue will tend to be sensitive, or overly sensitive in some cases, and intuitive with a large dose of compassion thrown in ... Mercury was last in Pisces from February 14th, 2025 through April 16th, 2025 ... a longer than normal transit due to its first retrograde period for 2025 which took it back from the early degrees of Aries back into Pisces ... and that will be the case again this time around with the exception this retrograde period will be completely on the sign of Pisces and not a dual sign like last year ... Mercury was last completely retrograde in the sign of Pisces in 2019 occurring from March 5th through March 28th going from 29 degrees 38 minutes back to 16 degrees 5 minutes Pisces ... anything come to mind from that period in your life ... this is where it becomes important to know in which house/houses these degrees of Pisces fall in your natal chart house in order to determine what area of your life this backward energy made its presence felt and will do so this time around !!!
Mercury is said to be in "detriment" in Pisces ... in "detriment" as it is in the sign opposite to the one it naturally rules - in this case being in Pisces opposite to Virgo one of the two signs it naturally rules ... so it is not operating at its full power taking on more of the signs rather than the planet's coloration, and thus visiting where it must conform to rules and regulations of that particular sign ... however, even though it may be frequently challenged by this, Mercury in Pisces still has great potential to produce some highly inspired and creative thinking and ways of communicating !!!

Mercury will get no further than 22 degrees 33 minutes Pisces on February 26th when it begins its first retrograde journey for 2026 ... again this 22 day retrograde period will last until March 20th stationing back into direct motion at 8 degrees 29 minutes Pisces ... Mercury enters its next shadow point on February 11th when it reaches 8 degrees 29 minutes Pisces !!!
Meanwhile it's time to "begin, with a spin ... traveling in the world of our own creation ... what we'll see ... will defy ... explanation" !!!
