The SUN emerged out of the dark, brooding sign of Scorpio blazing its way into its exuberant, joyful transit through the cheerful, optimistic and highly adventurous sign of Sagittarius yesterday, 11/21, at 3:40 PM EST ... this is probably the most positive sign of the Zodiac !!! ... MARS, the planet representing the urge to get what you want, sexual drive, initiative, courage, raw energy and desires, completed its RETROGRADE journey for 2020 on Friday, August 13th, at 7:36 PM EST ... the purpose of a Mars retrograde ultimately is to evaluate what it is that motivates you and for you to determine if you are on the correct path to achieve your goal, and if you are doing what you should be doing to get there ... inside a Mars retrograde, it is time for all of us to adjust our actions and aggressive instincts to ensure that ones intent is accomplished effectively ... this often includes going back over previous actions and having to redo them or let them go in order to move forward ... also, old resentments and personal issues that haven't been resolved in the past have a tendency of resurfacing during this period which yields the awareness that the time has come to develop new strategies and approaches for dealing with issues, anger and learning assertiveness ... Mars takes a retrograde journey for about 9 - 10 weeks out of its 26 month cycle !!!




Mars retrograde could have brought issues of frustration or hostility to the surface we have deliberately suppressed due to their disruptive qualities which can cause forward movement in our lives to be temporarily delayed ... sudden reversals of interest and drive may have occurred, as well as the termination of a long term goal as it may have become apparent that the effort was inappropriate for the long term ... also old wounds, hurts and frustrations may arise seemingly out of context but usually there is a purpose for this ... during a Mars retrograde it is usually a good idea NOT to undertake any new beginnings per contract or verbally since the energy often isn't there to carry it through ... now sometimes you can't just "sit tight" for nearly two and a half months, but there are good reasons, if at all possible, as the waiting may ultimately prove to be a blessing in the long run ... often things begun under a Mars retrograde will run into problems when it stationed back into direct motion on August 27th, at some point during the next two years, or even when Mars takes its next retrograde journey in September 2020 !!!




This Mars retrograde was a dual sign retrograde going from 28 degrees 9 minutes Aries back to 15 degrees 14 minutes Aries - the sign it naturally rules !!! ... if you have had a natal chart done, you can look to where these degrees fell by house and/or houses in order to see if  you had to rethink some kind of action you may have taken or where you might have encountered delays and frustrations and had to shift into a different direction in whatever area of life the house or houses rule where these degrees fell ... if you were born with your natal Sun between 28 degrees 9 minutes Aries and 15 degrees 14 minutes Aries, at some point Mars crossed back over your natal Sun and, among other things, there could have been a few days when you felt as if someone really unplugged your energy outlet - many of us may have had that feeling off and on during the entire Mars retrograde cycle !!!




If you have any natal planets in the signs of Aries within these degrees you probably experienced some kind of energy produced in relation to the planet and the area of life in which house it is placed when Mars backed over that planet ... also Mars may have produced some action if it made an aspect to other planets in your natal chart regardless of sign but still within the same range of degrees ... as with Mercury retrograde periods, sometimes those born with Mars retrograde may have found this period more productive since they are already comfortable and have a better understanding of this backwards energy ... in a natal chart, those born with Mars retrograde are said to have actions in the current life that are recreations of the past, and they are also frequently in competition with themselves ... Many would agree this Mars retrograde, with a Mercury retrograde completely embedded in it became especially challenging and frustrating !!!

Mars is the natural ruling planet of Aries which is the natural ruling sign on the 1st house, or Ascendant, which is considered a house of Life ... its keyword is identity ... the 1st house represents your personality, your natural disposition and tendencies, your individuality and the way you express yourself, how people see you and the way you want others to see you, the way you "package" and "market" yourself, your reputation, your physical body, your health, early childhood years, your approach to life, your worldly outlook, your appearance and the beginnings of all enterprises you undertake ... so there is the potential for issues to arise in these areas especially if some of the actions were taken during the last Mars retrograde or during the current Mars retrograde !!!




Mars represents your animal nature, desires, sexual energies, assertiveness, force, power, construction, work, strife, competition, surgery and operations, weapons, war, accidents, inflammations, wounds, cuts, burns, scalds, violence, tools, iron and steel, actions that are sudden, self-assertive and disruptive actions, and energy that can be used destructively and angrily or with courage and strength ... all of these areas are vulnerable to issues during the entire retrograde period as it is Mars which is in retrograde !!! ... In regards to health, the areas especially subject to issues during the entire retrograde are the head and face !!!

Since Mars was last retrograde from June 26th through August 27th, 2018, what actions were possibly begun then that now had to be readdressed, readjusted, reworked, or simply had run their course, ran out of "steam" and come to a necessary ending needing to be released, or concluded but not by our choice, in order to promote further personal and spiritual growth ??? ... and undoubtedly you may be readdressing some of these issues, including the issues encountered from July 25th of this year up until the retrograde period began as Mars now moves forward over those degrees up until it exits its retrograde zone on January 2nd, 2021 !!!

ARIES born - this was your period to slow down and in some cases stop - WHICH YOU DO NOT LIKE TO DO AT ALL !!! - in order to review and rethink what had been going on in your life especially in regards to what may have transpired in your life since August 27th, 2018 when Mars, being your ruling planet, last stationed back into direct motion !!!




Even though Aries born individuals may have been more sensitive to the reversal of energy, we all may have experienced it or possibly witnessed it somewhere in our lives or others lives, and lights may have begun to come on in our heads as we may have discovered that perhaps we should either have waited a while longer before taking a particular course of action or possibly realizing we should have never taken that course of action to begin with in certain situations !!!




Mars remains in Aries until January 6th, 2021 - a transit it initially began back on June 28th of this year !!! ... MERCURY reentered the dark, brooding sign of Scorpio, Tuesday, November 10th, 4:56 PM EST ... Mercury is now moving forward to finish its complete transit through Scorpio which initially began back on September 27th ... it got no further than 11 degrees 40 minutes Scorpio when it began its final retrograde journey for 2020 on October 3rd ... Mercury now retraces those degrees from October 27th through November 3rd, and then continues moving forward ... Below is a reminder of what this energy is all about in case you need to "refresh" your memory !!! 

Mercury was last in and out of Scorpio from October 3rd through December 9th, 2019 due to its final retrograde journey for 2019 and the same lengthy transit will occur again this year but this time the final retrograde journey was a dual sign retrograde from Scorpio back to Libra !!!

Mercury in Scorpio is intense, probing and filled with boundless determination ... this is the placement of the natural born detective always wanting to get to the bottom of things and ferret out information and hidden motives ... it loves tuning into underlying messages ... communication is usually done very passionately and intensely ... a lot of messages are delivered non verbally ... intimate bonds are frequently formed through ones communications ... superficiality is not tolerated ... what is spoken emanates from the depth of ones psyche !!!

TIME FOR MOVING ON - CAUTIOUSLY FOR NOW !!!

 

MERCURY completed its third and final retrograde journey for 2020 on Tuesday, November 3rd, and stationed  back into direct motion at 12:50 PM EST at 25 degrees 54 minutes of Libra - do I hear a BIG SIGH OF RELIEF out there ??? ... well maybe or maybe not given the current situation with the Presidential election and all the chaos surrounding that - but what else could we expect with the election taking place partially in a Mercury retrograde in Libra complicated by Mars being retrograde in Aries until November 13th ??? ... other than that major disruption, what revelations have you had, either positive or challenging in regards to what you may have done while Mercury was revolving around those degrees forwards, then backwards and forward again as it crossed back over them ???

Hopefully, some of the disorientation, confusion, frustration and outright irritation along with the sudden and unexpected issues that may have been produced by this Mercury retrograde will now begin to clear and subside - albeit slowly until Mars stations back into direct motion -  as it becomes time to move forward, cautiously for the time being, into the swing of things on all levels !!!

Did any issues and complications or questioning arise in regards to things done during the last retrograde period from June 18th through July 12th ??? ... or maybe as far back as February 16th through March 9th ??? ... and it's a sure bet that as Mercury moves forward once again crossing back over the degrees it covered during this retrograde period, issues may begin to arise meaning things begun and actions taken are certainly subject to potential review and revision ... and least we forget, it would not be out of the realm of possibilities to have issues resurface from what occurred during the Venus, which is Libras ruling planet, retrograde back on May 13th through June 25th as it was completely in the sign of Gemini which Mercury naturally rules !!!




Mercury retrograde periods, even though annoying and extremely frustrating at times, are actually a very beneficial thing, especially for those who were strong and fearless enough to dig deep down, as we need to validate, or in some cases invalidate, actions and situations gone awry and deal with them in order to finally release them to produce a calmer, positive and more productive state of mind thus allowing us to move forward to bring about greater personal and spiritual growth !!! ... if you've had a natal chart done, you should look to see in which house or houses containing 11 DEGREES 40 MINUTES SCORPIO back to 25 DEGREES 54 MINUTES LIBRA fall to determine what issues you may have had to deal with in the areas of life governed by those houses ??? ... how many of you went with the flow and how many of you tried to swim upstream in the raging current of Cosmic confusion ???



Of course the recurring question we may find ourselves asking now that Mercury is back in direct motion is "WHY" ??????? ...What actions did you take yourself or have taken against you that you or the other person may now be regretting ... or you may be simply wondering why you chose to do what you did or why you were the victim of a particular course of action from other(s), and why didn't you or the other person wait a little longer ...  or perhaps you are simply now trying to figure out why it even happened ???

Relationships may have come to an end - some needed to and others may have jumped the gun and you are now wondering, or will be, why did I do that or end things during this period ...  how many of you had relationship issues surface or resurface - extremely likely in a Mercury retrograde - that you thought surely had been resolved or didn't even realize existed ???  ... how many of you began new actions within a relationship, personal or professional without waiting for the retrograde period to conclude ??? ... AND ... how many of you got married - OOPSIE  ??? ... and keep in mind relationship issues may continue to occur until Mars is back in direct motion on November 13th !!!




Did anyone make any major purchases - homes, cars, electronics - that now don't seem like the best thought out course of action or that you are beginning to regret or will do so in the days ahead ??? ... there could be problems regarding any purchases made especially with anything where electrical energy and/or computers were involved ... all of these scenarios are possible as the energy of a Mercury retrograde is one where communications and mental energy is going "backwards" and rational decision making isn't always so sharp !!!




So now that the mental processing facilities are no longer going backwards - at least for most of us - in regard to Mercury and its functions, it's time to finally RELEASE these emotional holds and allow ourselves to move forward with our lives ... let go of what is best left in the past so you can achieve greater personal and spiritual growth !!!

In Scorpio, Mercury retrograde challenged us to find the courage and honesty to go deep within ourselves, facing our own inner demons, in order to bring about transformation and change in our lives in order to promote further personal and spiritual growth !!!

Mercury retrograding in the sign of Scorpio could have brought focus to the areas of life ruled by Pluto, the ruling planet of Scorpio, and 8th house matters - the house that Scorpio naturally rules ... so issues could have arisen regarding things which are hidden - especially in the unconscious self, the masses, crime, phobias and obsessions, slow growth, birth and death, isolation, coercion, kidnapping, bacteria and viruses, generation/regeneration/degeneration, secrets and things kept undercover, plumbing, dictatorships and unpopular causes - all of these things ruled by Pluto !!!

There could also have been issues regarding support one receives from other people - including financial, moral, spiritual and physical, legacies, trusts, wills, taxes, insurance matters, sex, spiritual/physical regeneration, psychological rebirth, degeneration and death - both literal and figurative, occult matters, sleep, deep research, investigations, hidden assets, assets of partners alimony, and surgeries - all of these matters represented by the 8th house !!!

In Libra, which Mercury returned to on October 27th where it would complete this retrograde period,  Mercury retrograde challenged us to mainly address our relationships and partnerships both public and private  ... and it wouldn't be out of the question that the need may have arisen to address personal values and our monetary situation with Venus ruling Taurus as well even though the retrograde was not in that sign !!! ... how many lost jobs or had significant salary cutbacks ??? ... and because Mercury rules communications, it shouldn't have come as a surprise that people seem to lose their manners and tact which is what usually occurs during a Venus retrograde !!!

Mercury retrograding in the sign of Libra also had the potential to bring into focus the areas of life ruled by Venus as well as 7th house matters and also the potential to pull in 2nd house matters as Venus naturally rules these two houses of the horoscope ... so issues could have arisen regarding art, culture, possessions, partners, beauty, charm, good taste, sweets and sugar, harmony, singing, drama, music, emotional contacts, tenderness, moral character, marriage and unions of all kinds, pleasure and appreciation - all things ruled by Venus !!!

There could have been issues in regards to financial affairs, possessions (excluding real estate), investments, earning power, gains or losses through your own efforts, inner talents and resources, your need for fulfillment, your emotional feelings, your sense of self-worth, sense of values, personal liberty and material debt - all matters represented by the 2nd house !!!

But there was the greatest potential for issues to arise regarding business and marital partnerships/relationships, marriage, divorce, contracts, lawsuits, agreements, dealings with the public, open enemies, cooperation or lack thereof with other people, addressing what you most lack in yourself,  grandparents, and any people who act as your agent or on your behalf - all matters represented by the 7th house which is the specific sign on the house Venus naturally rules where this Mercury retrograde took place !!!

In regards to overall health, remember Mercury is the natural planetary ruler of the 6th house which rules health and nutrition, among other things, so there could have been more potential to have health issues in general during this Mercury retrograde  ... while in Scorpio, there could have been issues with the elimination and reproductive systems which are areas ruled by Pluto, and the genitalia which are the anatomical areas Scorpio rules ... while in Libra there could have been issues with the throat, chin, cheeks or sense of taste, areas ruled by Venus, and the kidneys which are ruled by Libra !!!

Gemini and Virgo born, yet another period of review and reflection for you has come to an end ... how have you been enlightened and how was your life affected by having your ruling planet Mercury retrograde ... your ruling planet now resumes forward motion and much to your delight so will you - even though you were probably trying to do it during the actual retrograde ... right, of course right !!!

Mercury moves forward to conclude its full transit through Libra which began back on September 5th ... it will reenter the sign of Scorpio on Tuesday, November 10th !!! ... Mercury will exit its retrograde zone on November 19th when it returns to 11 degrees 40 minutes Scorpio the point where it began this retrograde period !!!

Mercury remains in direct motion until January 30th, 2021 when it takes its first retrograde journey which will be completely in the sign of Aquarius ... it will go from 26 DEGREES 29 MINUTES AQUARIUS back to 11 DEGREES 1 MINUTE AQUARIUS for those of you who like to plan ahead and see what area of your life it has the potential to bring issues to by which house or houses these degrees fall in !!!

For now, move forward with caution especially until Mars completes its current retrograde journey on November 13th, and try to enjoy as we enter what is often referred to as the "most wonderful time of the year", which may end up being very challenging this year given everything that is going on particularly due to the pandemic ... find ways to be grateful and thankful for all that you are blessed with even though there may be some difficult challenges occurring as well ... the Universe never lets us have anything "perfect" because we are supposed to be in a constant state of enlightenment and illumination promoting personal and spiritual growth !!!
